Gin Of The Month - Scapegrace

Scapegrace Gin is our September’s Gin Of The Month.

The spirit comes from New Zealand, and it is batch-distilled at the foot of the Southern Alps, using a restored 19th century copper whisky still. Its distinctive flavour is given by a selection of 12 botanicals (juniper, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice) sourced from all around the world.

Its name is a traditional word for rogue or rascal, and incorporates gin’s “murky history” with a black-tinted bottle – a shape based on an antique genever bottle.

With a predominant flavour of spicy juniper and clove, it works an absolute treat in a gin and tonic but it also stands its ground in any classic gin cocktail!
