Gin Of The Month - Victory

This month, our Bar Manager Sam takes us to Bermondsey to discover a local gin distillery.

Situated on Tower Bridge, in the basement of The Draft House Pub, Victory’s Distillery makes a unique gin, infused with carefully selected botanicals including juniper, cassia, black pepper, chestnut and orange.

You might have heard of VICTORY if you've read Orwell’s 1984 - thankfully, VICTORY gin is nothing like the ration delivered to the masses: it is a tasteful spirit, perfect to be enjoyed with tonic, an orange wedge and a pinch of black pepper.

The connection with Orwell is not completely random though: among the botanicals, chestnut is perhaps the most unusual being used, bringing a nutty, savoury note - it’s also in the name of the café mentioned in Orwell’s 1984: The Chestnut Tree!

So, pop up and let our bartenders tell you more about our #GinOfTheMonth and try a classically styled gin with modern vibes!
