Gin Of The Month - Pickering's Gin

Let us introduce you to Pickering’s Gin, May’s #GinOfTheMonth.

Pickering's story began 70 years ago in Bombay when some spirited distiller scribbled down a recipe on a scrap of paper. The peacock on the bottle is actually a link to its Indian roots!

Nowadays, the gin is hand crafted at Summerhall Distillerys in Edinburgh, with a marvellous mix of nine botanicals: juniper, coriander, cardamom, angelica, fennel, anise, lemon, lime and cloves. After being carefully selected, they are added to the grain spirit in copper stills named Gert and Emily - the founders’ great-grandmothers’ names.

What makes Pickering’s Gin special is the traditional bain marie heating system being used in the process which gives the botanicals a long and slow simmer.

Ask our Head Bartender the best way to enjoy it!
