Cocktail of the week-“Uncorking Old Sherry”

This week, our Head Bartender Sam brings you one of Gillray’s most iconic drinks -“Uncorking Old Sherry”, made with Greenall’s sloe gin, cherry brandy and an exclusive sherry, barrel-aged behind the bar served with a dash of sweet vermouth and bitters over ice.

The name comes from Gillray’s famous artwork showing the politician William Pitt standing in the House of Commons, facing the opposition represented by bottles containing the heads of famous politicians. Pitt is uncorking a jar containing the head of Sheridan (…and here comes our sherry!) releasing flows of rhetorical claims.

Why don’t you come over to Gillray’s this weekend and set your mind free with this signature cocktail?
